Applying for GATB Funds

To All Interested Service Providers:

The Great Lakes Center for Autism (GLCA) Fourth Annual Give Autism the Boot! Fundraiser will be held on June 19th and June 20th. Last year due to the generosity of our community, The GLCA was able to distribute $95,000 to local agencies assisting those affected with Autism!  The average amount awarded to each organization was between $5,000 and $10,000 and funded various programs and educational opportunities in the community.  It is possible, however, to receive more funding depending on the identified need, details of the program, and who it will serve. We request all organizations requesting funds to provide volunteers.  This will be taken into consideration when considering funds distribution.

This year, we are conducting an updated needs assessment for families.  We will be analyzing the results of this survey to determine how to distribute 2009 funds. Families can access this survey by visiting our GLCA website home page and clicking on 2009 Community Needs Assesment.  You may also link this page to your website as well to make it easier.  Click here to download a printable version that you can provide to those who request one. We ask that you strongly encourage your families to complete the on-line survey so that we may have an accurate understand of the needs within the community. Once the results are analyzed, results will be posted and the focus of this years GATB funds will be announced.
