2017 Community Needs Assessment

We need your help!

Dear families touched by autism in our community:

One of the critical pieces of work that helps the Great Lakes Collaborative for Autism (GLCA) fulfill its mission to inspire the growth of opportunities that will create a limitless future for all touched by autism, is to conduct a community needs assessment.  This assessment helps identify gaps in services as well as future needs of the families we serve.  The information gathered from the 2012 needs assessment  truly helped change the landscape for service providers and families in Northwest Ohio.  Information collected has been used to guide the following:

· Adding capacity to local early intervention and school programs

· Creating scholarship funds to help offset out of pocket expenses

· Venture Bound, a new transition to employment program

· Creation of the Toledo Regional Autism Network which brings together health care organizations,  service providers, educators at all levels, and other area professionals all working together to better families

While we have made a lot of progress, we know there is still so much to do!  So once again, the GLCA is conducting a 2017 community needs assessment  in partnership with the members of the Toledo Regional Autism Network. The information gathered via this on-line survey will be used by community leaders, service providers, and stakeholders to prioritize efforts and funding over the next several years.  We invite you to help guide these plans by completing this survey for your family.  Each family who completes a survey will be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $100 gift cards as a way to say thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your honest input into the services and needs in our community. Together, we can create a limitless future for all touched by autism!
